Camelback Mountain - Go take a hike!

Camelback Mountain is smack in the middle of Phoenix, Scottsdale and Paradise Valley and is located in the Camelback Mountain Echo Canyon Recreation Area. It got its name because from a distance the mountain’s silhouette looks like a camel’s back.
Hikers climbing the mountain have two options, one is a challenging trail, while the other is easier but takes more time. Hike the Echo Canyon trail, the front side of the 2,704 feet mountain, if steeper is better, otherwise try the Cholla trail which winds around the mountain. Whichever you decide to try don't forget to bring lots of water to drink.
